Default Short shifter question......

I wanna get a short shifter. Still got the stock engine in the car, so will it still work if I swap engines in the future?

Thanks.

Yes, they'll work. But from my experiences, they're really not worth it. They encourage "tranny trashing", which is bad.

The normal GSR shifter is nice. When it's in second gear, it's very close to you. And I must say that having the short shifter is less of a problem on a tranny then a driver who thinks he can "short shift". It's the driver, get one if you need to shave .02 off of your times, I guess.

It just makes the car easier to drive... I feel like I am seriously "rowing" when I shift with a stock shifter.. too much effort.
