I had a short shifter and got rid of it for this very reason. I've talked to others who have had the same experience. Get rid of the thing and get some urethane bushings and you should be happy.

the throw is to short and does'nt allow you enough time to disengage the clutch to get it into gear. the shifter is moving quicker than your foot. the stock gsr shifter works fine, dont stress over not being able to use it.

Use ur stock shifter. Short throws are tranny killers, and you can shift just as fast without it.

I sure can't...

I have never "killed" any transmissions from using a short shifter in any of my cars. You might have a shitty ebay shifter that is not aligned properly or you have ground your syncros up to the point of no return.

i think stock works best imo. the short throw doesnt let u feel the gears well enough... for me anyways.
