1999 D16y7 Tranny --$200 OBO--
hey i still have the tranny out of the 1999 civic. the longblock has been sold but the tranny is here. just like the longblock, this is mint no grinds. the clutch is also included. this is the best d series tranny to turbo. do some research and you will see this tranny has great gear ratios for F/I.
with 55k miles it is perfect.
thanks

care to explain? last time i checked the y8 tranny was a lot better for turbo becuase you'll be closer to full boost after shifting.

easy, you stay in boost longer. you go through y8 gears to fast, i know from experience. when i had my 95 eg hatch with a y8 swap greddy kit we put the dx tranny back on and it was just short of an entire second faster. the car was slower off the line(which is good because i couldnt get traction anyways) but once you hit mid to high power the car pulls harder and for much LONGER. think of it has you are pinned in your seat for a longer time in each gear. y8 is ideal for all motor, but the y7 or a dx tranny is better for F/I
do some research on the web like http://pub143.ezboard.com/bhondadseries and other places. people have discussed it before and have different opinions, but with my experience best bang for buck if you are F/I
