Default DX tranny/ And turbo?

Would a dx tranny be good for a turbo setup? i have one on my z6 cause i blew up my stock tranny. I think it would be good since the gears are so wide. What do you guys think. Stick with it or get a z6/y8 tranny?

It would be okay, but better if it had a better final drive, like a 4.7:1 FD.

A Y8/Z6 tranny will have closer gears and still be faster than a DX tranny.

how is that? I would have to do less shifting to get to the same speed. The dx tranny gears are super wide. 1st is like to 50 and 2nd is to like 80. Ex trannys are like 1st 40ish 2nd 60ish, and 3rd 80ish. so i would match the speed in alot less shifts

Physics
You may shift less but it will take longer to get to that speed.
Go hop on a 10 speed bike, put it in first gear and peddle as fast as you can up to 30mph, now move it to 10th gear and do the same, which will take longer?
it takes more energy to accelerate in a higher gear.
Same thing applies to your car.
Longer gearing is only needed when your power output exceeds the gearing you have. Example you run out of gear before the end of the track so you go to a longer gear so you have a higher top speed. Most honda's won't have that problem.
Shorter gearing always accelerates faster.

I have a boosted y7, and want the shorter tranny.

Shorter tranny will always equal better accelleration unless you have so much power you can't put it down with a shorter gear.
