Default A wood pile fell on my car.

Hey, I havent been here in a while cuz I couldnt take my car to school this year, I hope the board is doin well.. I thought I'd just post this to try to get some reactions. I came home two weekends ago and my parents told me they had bad news. Its kinda hard to describe but they parked my car under our woodpile for a few days and the wind knocked like a whole rack of it over on to my car. The hood, front bumper, driver side fender, driver side door, driverside quarter panel, and rear bumper are dented and scratched to hell. The front windshield and driverside window are broken.

My insurance will cover the glass but im sure they're gonna total it before they'll pay for all the body work. I dont know how the insurance system works really but I was thinking that I could pick up some cheap replacement pieces like certifit or something and try to make the money go as far as I can. If you guys have any advice or experience with ur car getting mangled, let me know. Thanks.

If they total it, buy it back from them and part it out. Start over unless you want to spend the money on bodywork and the paint, but that quarter panel is going to be expensive and a biotch to fix.

I cant imagine starting over cuz the car still runs like a champ, looks arent that important to me. Its funny when I get into races during the weekends cuz I'll pull up to cars and they'll look at my busted glass and body and be like wtf is this kid thinking. But when ur runnin mid 12s on the street, you tend to forget how ur car looks in the heat of the moment.

Exactly the reason I bought a force field before I started modding my car.

Damn..where did you pick that up?? I've been looking everywhere for one and couldnt even find one on Ebay!

EDT: If looks aernt that importiant to you and insurance is going to pay for it, fix your car then. Check into Certi-fit, they have great prices and they fit like OEM.

Check the classifieds for a guy named, Big_Shooter. He shipped me the whole kit, phase variance adapter and all. It's saved my car from at least three wood piles, one cave in and several icy hot stunnaz. It's also amusing to put tuna near the tires at night and wait until cats are halfway through the threshold and then turn it on: they explode. Makes me giggle every time.

Damn thanks a lot...I've been meaning to get one to keep my cat offa the car. Apparently my motion sensor doesn't pick him up when he gets on the car and if I turn it up anymore it goes off all the time.

One of Big_Shooter's force fields would've stopped that too.

It's like this: An invisible wall ( Sometimes a green translucent beam like wall ) surrounds the object of your choice..becoming like brick or stone to protect what's within. It'll deflect bullets, fat women hell bent on eating you, falling telephone poles and falling wood piles.

I've got two more left though y0. You got ebay?

So, where can I get one of these force fields? Anybody have a link?
Nevermind, found it. Where do I put it? In my car, on my car?

man i remember like 2 years ago there was this ~90 civic HB parked on the street outside SJSU and it just got crushed like a tin can by a huge oak tree... the tree also took out a power line... it was funny cause the tree just fell during a storm which was not really that windy... and there were no other cars parked anywhere on the street...
almost like the tree singled out his car, lol what bad luck

trees and their close cousin woodpiles =
