I have a buddy who has a K20 from his RSX he wrecked. he bought the motor back from the insurance company for a spare but i can buy it for $800 cdn. would it be worth it and is the swap very difficult because i am going to need a motor soon, mine is on the way out!

 

That is a good deal for 800 canadian, if you can actually buy it for that price get it, however, this will be an extreemely expensive swap, and it won't be perfected for i'm guessing, at least a year.

Plan to spend over $3000 U.S. to have this swap in a car running, that is after you get the complete pull out from the car.

However, it is very difficult to put into an EG, but you could probably sell it for a lot more than $800.

$800..canadian even...thats the deal of the century! hmotorsonline.com sells them for like 5000 U.S., if I remember correctly.

It's been done, and for the price that you're getting it, the swap may be worth it.
The mounts go for $600 I believe. K motors are disgustingly responsive to mods. I/H/E and some hondata tuning gets you well above 200whp.
