is this a chipped ECU? *56k no way, big 236k pic*
it is a p28.
i can tell it's not socketed ... if it's NOT chipped, why is my VTEC engaging at 5k rpm and i have a non-OEM rev limit? i have a VTEC light, and i have accidentially taken it to 7800rpm

Okay well we know it's a stock ECU... To tell you the truth I don't know what the stock VTEC x-over is on a P28 as I you can't hear it (and I don't work with SOHC's that often)... As for the thing reving to 7800rpm, I'm sure that's just the tach being off... My friend's Z6/EH2 has a stock P28 and sometimes it looks like it revs to 8000rpm but we know that's not true... I assume from what it says under your avatar that you have a Z6 EH2 too... If that's wrong and you have a DOHC VTEC motor or you still wanna chip it, you can do it for less than $10... Just my $0.02... Peace
