what is the best master cylinder to use
i am getting the whole rear end setup off of an acura integra gsr to use on my 93 hatch. i know when i convert to four wheel disc my brakes will be weak. i would like to know what is the best master cycliner to use and if it is necessary to upgrade my brake booster
if you can find them, go for the Type R master cylender and the type R brake booster. You're gonna have to change the 4040 proportional valve also if your converting your car from drums to disc. goodluck.
that is what i thought, i can readily get gsr parts and have a friend that has already been through all of the trial ans error stuff with gsr. also what is a 4040 proportional valve i am still kinda learning about honda. i am kinda used to american muscle (aka gas hogs)
you can use a proportioning valve from a integra with no abs. this proportioning valve used with drum brakes provides pressure to the rear first. you don't want this with discs.
if you're buying an MC go with Tokico ones from http://www.enthusiastsauto.com

Would the ITR Booster and MC bolt right up though??? I'm on the same boat...I have teg rear dics and getting EX front brakes on my VX....and I need a 40/40 prop valve and booster/mc set up....
I know the prop valve has to be non abs......but I want my new booster/mc to bolt right up no hassles....thanks.....

You can also use a non-TypeR booster and still have a 1" master cylinder. On DA Integras, and probably DCs as well, the ABS master cylinder is 1" by default. I'm sure you'll have to do some custom work to get the lines to fit right, but you should have bought and Integra in the first place...

the abs mc will work if it is a 1" but you would have to custom bend one of the brake lines which i am told is a pain in the ***
also is there anything avialable that can give me any control of how much brake force the front/rear would get
i want to be able to taylor the brake balance to my liking and to the 66%/33% weight distribution of my car

Wilwood makes a fully adjustable proportioning valve. You may have to use one of their badass master cylinders, but if you want to fine tune every aspect of you brakes, it's the only way to fly...
