Default anybody with 180 whp N/A and 250whp with nitrous?

anybody have any comments about N/A power with a shot of nitrous?

I saw a old Import Tuner magazine with a black EK HB with about 190 whp N/A and over 220whp with nitrous. I am interested, most people just just turbo or all motor.

yeah, nitrous is a nice bang for the buck.

cheap power... kinda.

what specifically were you wanting to know.

I am thinking of getting GSR swap and reach close to 180whp and add small enough shot whereas my pistons wont melt, about a 70 shot.

you shouldnt melt a piston unless your super lean or detonating like big dog.

I am a firm believer in nitrous... used correctly. just read up about what not to do, like load up the car in high gear @low speed and flip on the system...

75 shot should be no problem (given it is used correctly)... you need a slightly cooler set of plugs and bump back the timing maybe a couple degrees tops. no platinum plugs and keep to the good gas.

BTW my 2 cents but get a purge and bottle heater too... the purge is good to get the air out of the lines (esp with a bigger shot, fun too) and the heater keeps it consistant pressure in the bottle (900psi ish).

like cruising at 20mph on 4th gear?

I know GSR swap stock puts down close to 150whp. I know the cams cant be too big so I was thinking bolt ons and shunk2 stage 1 cams.

hmm is all of this street legal? and able to pass emissions in CA?

hahaha your funny emissions... good luck.

yeah like 20mph in 4th ot 5th.... that will cause a backfire/ puddling if wet kit.. nitrous explosion in the manifold/intake which takes the hood off your car. dry will just backfire and no cool colored flames... you keep the hood but blow off your intake piping and destroy the airbox.

not to ****** your thread but - do you need an upgraded ignition for X shot of nitrous?

Yeah thatd be one of the last things you wanna do!

Just spray above 3000rpms and try not to spray longer than 15 seconds, which if you think about it is a long time.

Nitrous sometimes gets a bad wrap, mainly from people blownin up their engines because they didn't really know what they were doing. Do your homework and read every archived post on nitrous and you should be good to go

Watch out for backfires! I used to run a mustang hatch had a 557 stroker 10.5:1 trick flow A460's A460 intake 1150 dominator backed by a turbo 400, car made 750 ponies on motor and I hit it with 550 horses worth of juice, and I got a MASSIVE backfire while racing a turbo GSX-R 1000 on the highway it blew my carb apart and straight out of the car, the intake plenum was sheared off from the runners, motor injested a ton of crap and seized, that stopped the trans and locked up the rear tires, and put my car into a ditch If I had run a simple burst plate this probably wouldn't have happened

that's a shitload of nitrous.

There was a dyno of a guy with about 160-180whp, put on a 100 and a 150 shot and put out 29xwhp.

I'm planning on doing the same thing. A ls/vtec with about 180-190whp and then add on a 75shot. I wish I could find a EG hatch to put the setup in rather than a heavy as Integra.

Anyone have more dyno charts?
