well here my problem i jus notice the other day when i waz floorin it i notice that my car felt like it waz hittin the rev limiter and it won't let me go pass 5300rpm and also when i waz lookin at my gauges i see the needle jumpin up and down and i did a search but couldn't find anything on this so any help would be good

 

what motor/ecu and more details please

 

lsvtec/p28 chip ecu

 

sound like the ecu chip is going bad try another ecu if u can

i switch out the ecu and it still does the same thing

 

well the next solution is maybe the distributor is going bad i once had a dizzy that the shaft inside the dizzy rings were messed up try that and let us know

 

i had a simaler problem but my car would not go past 3000 rpms and i figured out that i had a clogged cat so try to get a high flow cat or gut it out if possible.

 

i will keep u guys posted that wat im assumin now that it the distributor

 

where are u located because i'm in san diego if u need help

 

im near la county and orange county

 

3k is the limp-home mode rev-limiter.

5k is something else, maybe oil pressure problem.

ok got a new distributor but that didn't solve the problem
so now im leanin bac toward the ecu and a shop told me it could be my speed sensor but i dunno damn dis is pissin me off and other clue wat it could be
