Default ECU problem, need help (obd2 to obd1)

Hi, I recently did a manual swap in my 01 LS automatic to LS stick. I want the car to be obd1 so I purchased a skunk obd2 to obd1 harness with stock 95 (obd1) ls ecu. Now I can't pass around 6K rpm and I have no idea why. But, when I reuse my stock OBD2 Automatic ecu it works fine and I can rev pass 7K (check engine lite comes up). Anyone know what is up??

if you are referring to obd2b then yes I'm using that. Anyone know if I can use a 96-98 obd2 ecu in my 01 LS?
