My friend has had exhaust problems for quite some time now. He originally just got a muffler (Apexi N1) to weld onto his stock piping. But our other friend talked him into getting custom piping which made the car sound like ****!!! After a short while, he started getting pinging sounds and rattling noises.

So anyways to make a long story short...he supposedly just purchased stock piping for his car yesterday from the same muffler shop and it still has that pinging and/or vibrating sound.

Actually if anyone knows what could be the cause that would be great too. After the "stock piping" he just purchased was put on, it reduced the sound but it is still there. Basically is makes a clanking sound (like two metal peice hitting one another) every time he gases. The sound comes from the front or the middle of the car usually and not the back. Thanks again in advance for any posts made. It is greatly appreciated.
