my prelude doesn't seem to make hp after 4k rpm . i check it today , the gasket is leaking bad( the one from the manifold to wastgate) can this be the prolem

i feel turbo spool up at around 3k rpm , car pulling hard then power drop after that

 

i am not an expert but i would have to guess that your waste gate is opening up to early. just my guess though.

doh. i didnt even read that your gasket was leaking, thats the problem. you wont spool up to full boost because the leaking gasket is working like a wastegate set at a lower boost. so you will see a lower boost. thats why you'r not feeling the same power as you had before.
