CRX New B16 Seems to be Running Hot
Just finished my swap and got to drive around yesterday quite a bit. After a bit the temperature inside the car seemed to be increasing (not much just noticably - and it was a hot day(. I flipped the heater on and it wasn't blowing hot air. Just seemed to be filtering throught from the engine compartment. The temp guage is working and looks normal.
Is this normal when moving from a D16 to B16?

It came out of a wrecked CRX and the guy said he replaced most of the stuff (water pump, clutch etc). It does not blow hot just warm. The fan does come on when it warms up. So the temp guage reads about 40% but inside seems to warm up. So the car does not overheat, it just seems warm inside. If the thermostat was broken wouldn't the car eventually overheat?
turn on the fan on these motors to cold will not do any good on a hot day!!!!
but my heater works great fucken hot air thats the **** I need currently getting cold here in cali in the mornings...

I just got mine up and running. It was running a little hot. Turns out the o2's were bad and it was running a bit lean. I replaced the o2s and it is a lot cooler now. Still builds up some heat under that hood though. Next swap I do I plan to replace the o2's before I put it in. $17 a piece is worth the money to not have to do it after the engines in. Anyway good luck.
