Okay a freind of mines just bought a 90 accord ex. I car that I am totally unfamiliar with. It is an automatic. What i was wandering was, there is a green "S" inclosed in a circle that flashes near the fuel gauge. What is that?

 

if it is flashing, it is telling you there is a problem in the system

which system might that be?

 

Didn't the 90-91 autos have a "sport" mode for the tranny? That's probably the sport mode indicator light, and if it's flashing then something is wrong with it. Pulling codes may tell you something.... I'm not sure exactly how those work though (if there's tranny codes or not)

 

When the "S" flashes, you have a TCM trouble code. His speedometer probably doesn't work or it works intermittently because the VSS is faulty.

i had this problem before but it turned out to be nothing more than a loose connector. it was somewhere over the right axle.

 

hell yeah fool, i got that same damn problem. i have no idea on what to do about it
