Tranny code question?? anyone have a list?
I've just got a 92 accord LX. runs fine but the D4 is flashing. Tranny seems to be working fine. . . maybe shifting a little firm but it is shifting and when it should.
I've jumpered the two wire plug on pass. side. D4 flashes 9. I've spent hours and can not find a list of codes for the Tranny. Plenty of links to Engine trouble codes. . . . no tranny codes
ANY ONE HAVE A TRANNY TROUBLE CODE LIST? and how to remedy.
Thanks

Re: Tranny code question?? anyone have a list? (hondadude)
My speedo/odo seem to work fine. Notice no glitches or jumps. Only thing it it seems to shift a little firm.
I went and drove and is possible the converter is not locking. Even a light throttle increase will cause an increase in RPM. Seems if converter was locking, it would take more throttle to see an RPM increase. . .
Now what? If code 9 is speed sensor, why does speedo work? Why would the converter not work?
ALSO, I found a list that says code 9 is "NC speed sensor". . .code 14 is "NM speed sensor" whats the difference?
Thanks

Re: Tranny code question?? anyone have a list? (badmrb)
I removed speed sensor on transmition. Took apart and cleaned. Everything looked fine. My cruise works fine, speedo works fine. Reset TCU and drove. Started flashing.. . . again code 9 "NC speed sensor".
I took TCU out and pulled cover. Everything looked good there. No cooked resistors, no bad capacitors. Any other ideas what to check?
What RPM should I get at 65. I'm getting close to 3K. How does this code relate to TC lockup? I also checked to two lockup valves on top of Tranny. No problems there.

Any other ideas? Anyone had a bad VSS but the cruise and speedo still work fine? What about the VSS affecting the TQ lockup?
I hate to throw money at it by just replacing parts when the symptoms don't add up.
