HELP: Transmission problem
Recently my transmission has been hard to shift. When I first installed the transmission it shift smoothly without any effort. I could put it into gears with a push of two fingers. Now it getting so stiff that I have to use force to place it into gears.
I have checked my shift bushing and nothing wrong with it. I checked the shift link and nothing. Check the cotter pin that hold the shift link to tranny ....nothing. The the transmission runs fine and still pulls like normal. It doesn't pop out of gear when driving.
Any help so i can find out what is wrong is helpful....thanks

Is it still hard to get it into gear if the car is off? without the clutch
Reason I say this is b/c you may have some air in the lines and they are just now showing up.
I had a problem where I bled the clutch for a bit and then it got progressively harder to get into gear, eventually I had to jam it it.
Try bleeding it ALOT, I went thru a bottle and a half or so of fluid.
After bleeding it like that, it feels like it was supposed to.

okay i bled the clutch and it got a little softer to shift, but still a little on the stiff side. I drove it for about 20-30 and the shifting was alot easier than previous. I ca actully shift w/o force. I also notice that is grinds a little when going into gear once in a while, but not often.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks for those that helped with some of the problems.
