Default Which intercooler to match half radiator?

I'm sure this idea has been thought of before, but after several searches I haven't seen mention of this...pls feel free to direct me to an existing H-T post.

Goal:
I'd like to run a C&R aluminum half radiator, and then find or make an intercooler which fills up the 2nd half.

Kinda like this...

This configuration would allow both heat exchangers to receive fresh ambient air, contrasted with the typical setup most of us use (intercooler in front of radiator).

Does any company make such an intercooler?
(or is there an OEM one off a stock car?)

Please post your opinions (with reasoning please) and more importantly, if anyone makes an intercooler in this "half radiator" size configuration

This is for a 90 CRX with Greddy turbo kit.
Thanks

Im sure this has been done before using a side mount DSM intercooler Search for "side mount intercooler" and you can see what the IC looks like.

I'm currently running with the 1g dsm smic you're referring to
....alas, these smics are a lot smaller than what I have in mind. In fact, mine is hidden in the bumper cavity where the stock resonator goes (below passenger headlight). These things are small

The intercooler I would want would be the same size (or nearly the same) as the C & R radiator.

Any ideas anyone?
Thanks

I'm trying to save myself from reinventing the wheel here. With all the H-T members out there, I'm hoping someone has already had some experience with this.

Last resort, of course, would be to hit the yards.

get a custom one made, or go to a junkyard, and find yourself a turbo shadow/daytona/caravan... A t2 car had a radiator & Intercooler that bolted to each other....

Do a search on ebay for intercooler, you'll get some ideas, maybe a saab intercooler, or an RX-7... Good luck!

Also, remember when plumbing, avoid too much turning...
