sorry for the flame but i have to vent.....

So i purchase a turbo-performance manifold for my integra about 8 months ago. i put it on the car but i get deployed so my wife would start my car for me and let it idle and such..she took real good care of it.

So i get back and start her up..and she sounds like ****...after checking the manifold(it was an exhaust leak, not hard to tell when you get no exhaust comming out of the muffler.lol.) i see i had a crack right at the flange where it bolts to the turbo. so i take it to get welded shut. get to the welder and he sticks a blade through the crack(which ran all the way around the flange) it almost falls off..im upset but not pissed..so i play 50 bucks and they weld it shut(did a good *** job also). So me and my boy put it on we go riding around only at 7 psi cause of wastegate, i dont have my boost controller yet..So everything ran smoothly besides blowing some intercooler piping ...easy fix...

So the next day i go to Hampton to pay on a ticket...on my way back im talking to my boy. Telling him how it feels good to be boosted..soon as i hang up the phone with him. the turbo spools up, BOV goes off and then this horrible sound and my car cuts off..im on the dam HOV lane where cars are flying fast *** hell..so i pull over and pop the hood..i was thinking my engine or somthing so i was scared expecting to see oil and crap everywhere....so i open the hood and the dam wastegate freakin fell off the manifold...i mean the flange the wastegate was bolted to broke off from the manifold.. i was so pissed i started cursing, saying every one i knew in the book...i have pics and imma post that thing up..but think twice beforeyou buy that garbage *** manifold...im getting a full race now, just saving up the loot.

 

lemme guess, meng/obx manifold?

 

Actually, the turbo performance manifold is nowhere near as good as a meng/spark!! It's gotta be the worst tubular manifold i've seen...

 

my friend had their manifold on his integra for a year now and had no problems. Call them, they might be able to help u. I never dealt with them but my friend speaks highly of them.

 

I had a SSautochrome mani, it lasted less the a month before the wastegate flange fell off. Ask Tony1 about dynoing my car. Hella boost creep.

Don't spend so much money on a full race, get a lovefab manifold.

 

SSautochrome lasted a day for me. I got lovefab now

lovefab
