Default driving without ic pipes

ok, if i were to just bolt up my mani, turbo, and wastegate, and downpipe without any of the intercooler piping being there would that be alright to drive the car? the reason i ask is cause i need to get my pipes done and i dont wana pay to tow my car to the shop, its only like a 40 min drive there and 40 min back? so would that break anything or be bad for anything? or would it be the opposite and break the turbo in nicly?

exactly... most people mark the pipes and take them somewhere... drive the car and risk overspooling and destroying your turbo

YOU CANNOT OVER SPIN THE TURBO BY LEAVING THE IC PIPES OFF!!! It takes load to get enough exhaust energy to spin the turbo faster and faster. To over spin a turbo you would need to run a LOT of boost.

its ok to drive it without the i/c pipes just dont rev it too hard. ive done it several times and nothing bad happened to the turbo. besides why would anyone drive it hard without any boost anyway.

Ok, call your insurance up and find out if you are paying for 'emergancy towing coverage' because you can get your car towed there and then either call up your insurance or go into thier office and get a check for your towing expenses (up to a certain amount usually, so make sure)

I agree with this man. ^^

I was tuning my standalone for a while without the IC pipes hooked up to the throttle body and nothing went wrong with my turbo after the 50+ WOT pulls I did. I was told I'd overspool it and mess it up but it's been fine ever since.
