Default Trouble on start up *help*

I'm running a gsr motor with dsm 450s, walbro 255, and SMC. Often times the car does not want to start. Let me rephrase that. Often it will start, but it will idle in the vicinity of 100-200rpms, and will die relatively quickly. In these situations, I get it started by giving it gas while cranking, or while its idling at 100-200rpms. After some coaxing, and maybe a few tries it always comes around. Once I get the rpms up, they settle in the normal idle range, and the car idles/drives perfectly fine. Never stutters, misfires, etc.
While it's doing all this at start up it smells like a friggin boat, so I know it's prolly flooding it, but I don't want to mess with the smc as once it gets idling it's right in the normal range (14.6-15.1).
And then again, sometimes it'll start right up... any ideas? And is it safe to be doing this daily ?

ps I started having this problem after I changed my spark plugs. But let me say again, it never misfires etc.

Thanks for any help

Oh hey man, love the Sn LOL! Yea, when money's right that's still the plan. But for now, I have this start up bug and a gasket/coupling leak somewhere that's ticking me off. How's your car coming along??

cool, I just finished my install yesterday and I'm running open dp right now. After i put in a boost gauge i realized i was running about 10 psi bc of the open dp (supposed to be 7) It runs strong though right now and I'll be putting on my exhaust this week.
