Default Clutch help

I just got a d16z6 tranny swapped onto my D15B7, I also installed an OEM lightened flywheel and a semi used D16z6 clutch. UNfortunately my friend who installed the clutch said that it had much more wear then I was told.

The clutch seems to engage fine (some very very mild slippage). BUt the problem is the pedal feel (which was perfect before) is now mush. Is there anyway to adjust the pedal feel of the clutch to tighten it up? Is there anything besides the clutch wear that could be causing the sloppy pedal feel?

Also the brakes feel a little less firm as well, so is there anyway this is linked (I would assume no)

I am going to check the resivoir today, but isn't there a screw or something that can be tweaked on the pedal/arm of the pedal to tighten up the motion????

You might want to bleeding the clutch. There's another post around with the procedure. Helps if you have a friend in the car.

if you used a used clutch, the pressure plate may be worn out or broken. never use a used clutch. a cheap one off e-bay is better than having to pull the tranny back out after 500 miles. the light slippage will get worse quick and ruin that nice new lighened fly-wheel. bleed the crap outta the clutch line and if it is still mushy take it all apart. dont ruin your flywheel.

I would bleed the clutch and then if its still there I would suspect the actual clutch. did it feel this way before the trans swap?

I am kicking myself in the *** over buying a used clutch now

But the seller is a good guy and we will work something out.

No the pedal feel before the clutch/flywheel/tranny swap was much stiffer, and even that clutch was on the outs.

I am looking into getting an Exedy Organic clutch, is there any reviews/opinions on this clutch?

I'm using an Exedy clutch now. It seems to be holding up well. I'm not runnin any monster horsepower but neither are you ( I guess: less you gotta bad-*** d15). When I launch hard, there is no slip. You need something to hold up with alot of clutch feathering though cause you wont have any tork with the light fly and d15. Maybe you want something stronger. I dunno, I like mine.
