How to make the clutch catch closer to the floor?
I have a 92 civic hatchback with a d15b and hydro tranny. As my clutch is now, nothing happens when i let out the clutch until about two inches from the top then it suddenly grabs. The same goes for pushing it in, if i push it in about two inches, the clutch is fully disengaged, and i have all that play to the floor.
My buddy has a d16z6 with hydro tranny, and his clutch let out all the way is only 4 inches from the floor. the best way i can describe it is a short shifter for a clutch. as soon as he puts pressure on the clutch pedal, its already disengaging. If he has it all the way on the floor, as soon as he lets off of it its already engaging. So there is no play in it AT ALL.
How would I go about making my clutch like his? Do i need to buy extra hardware, or do I just adjust the parts I have? Is there a detail tutorial about this? Thanks so much!

my z6 disengages in about 2in with 1000 miles on an new oem replacement clutch, the only way i can think of is a different stage clutch kit, we put a stage 3 sprung 4 puck on my brothers eclipse and you cant get your foot off of the floor without getting whiplash lol.....definately interested to know if they can be adjusted

You can adjust the pushrod for the master cylinder, but you can't just set the clutch wherever you want it to engage. Follow the procedure (IIRC it's in the Chiltons and Haynes manuals you can buy at you local parts store, it's definitely in the factory service manual) wherever the clutch ends up engaging after going through the procedure is where it's meant to be.
