when converting to use the hid kit, what is the bulb heat difference? is there any chance of melting light assembly housings, or the lens? i have ctr headlights, and would love to have hids--but dont want to risk melting the lights. thanks---j.

Ok, if you did some research on HIDs, and didnt just buy them for the pretty colors they make, you'll learn that HIDs use less wattage than halogen bulbs, i believe they are rated at 35W. Wattage is a measurement of power, power means heat...heat means....well...heat. So they will actually run COOLER than halogens.
So you are ok Good luck.
