Default 55w HIDS

I heard that the 55w are to much for the alternator to handle because they use a lot of power? Is this true?

If anyone has 55w HIDS feel free to let me know.

Thank you

No most halogen are around 55w anyway. Usually HID uses less power to run. 55w are usually brighter than the typical 35w HID.

no they are fine. I ran them for a little while but went back to 35, simply bc i felt they were too bright, even in HID projectors. at 35w, phillips 85122 D2S bulbs put out 3200lumen (x2 for both lights). if 6400lm isnt enough for you to see at night, you need to upgrade your glasses, not your ballasts
