I'm helping out a friend on converting his auto 98 Civic EX to 99 B16A2 manual. I was wanting to know if anybody tried this yet and has done it successfully. He bought the whole wrecked car from the salvage yard. What can I use from the 99 Si to make this swap work, such as wiring to engine mounts?

 

Thats a pretty straight forward swap, just transfer everything from the Si to his car.

Only wiring you'll have to do is under the console where the shifter is so you can start the car, take key out, and reverse lights work.

 

There is a clutch sensor that allows you to start the car, but you can just connect it to ground and you can start the car even without the clutch pushed in (or use remote start )

 

Yea, I like the piece of mind that I have to have the clutch in, so no starting in gear for me

 

just use all the parts off the si.

 

I'm doing the manual swap too, but I don't have another car to jack parts off of for wiring. Where can I find detailed wiring instructions. for the reverse lights and stuff, I could really care less about the clutch sensor for now I just want to be able to drive my car.
