I need more front negative camber...EG civic upper arms work or cut Integra arms?
Heres the deal, car was in an accident before I got it. It was repaired decently but still needs some tweaking. When it comes down to it, the MOST negative camber I can get in the front is -.2, which is basically straight up and down, and as many of you will know, that greatly affects the cars turn in. Not to mention I have more negative camber in the rear so that doesnt help either. Ive tried to use a camber kit(ingalls, it that actually lets you add slightly more negative camber) but its not enough and I can only get about -.2.
So what I was thinking is A) possibly run EG civic front upper arms(they are supposedly shorter, can anyone confirm and by how much?) or B) get a used set of Integra upper arms(94+ are all the same) and cut out a small section, reweld them, and Ill be able to find tune it with the camber kit I have already so I dont have to worry about cutting them uneven or exactly perfect on each side. Then obviously get an alignment.
Option B(cutting another set of Teg arms) is totally doable and has been done before on another car of ours, but if option A(civic arms) would work, that would be easier. The question is would the civic arms be short enough for me to get the camber I want.
So anyone that can give some input that would be great. Thanks

nobody can help a brotha out? or is there not many people around HT today
I am using the Skunk2 andjustable control arms in the front to give me about -2.2* of camber and the Ingalls kit in the rear for about -1.8* of camber. I think a set up like that is your best bet if you want more negative camber - complete adjustability.
Why could you not get negative camber with the Ingalls kit?

rather than changing out the parts to fix what's wrong, why don't you try having the car tweaked back into specs at a frame straightening place?
You know the car has been in an accident. Obviously it wasn't repaired back to spec. Have someone check the specs on the car, then have them check for any bent suspension pieces that you may have. May be as easy to fix as having a stock piece that has been bent being replaced.
good luck

I think for them to check if the frame is within specs may not be that much... don't know for sure, though, he has to check in his area. I know any good body shop should be able to check his measurements for him.
As far as checking to see if there are any bent suspension parts, a competent mechanic(paid or unpaid) should be able to spot possible problem areas.
So, yeah, it may or may not be $$$ depending on the location, but I was trying to say that knowing he has a frame problem from an accident, he should try to find the cause of his camber problems instead of band aiding the symptom.
The R is such a wonderfully handling car, it would be a shame not to have a straight frame to enjoy it's potential.

its already been looked at by both alignment shops and frame shops, there isnt much they can do as far as Ive been told. As far as being able to get camber with the Ingalls kit, I WAS able to get more neg camber, it was positive camber before the Ingalls kit. I have seen though Skunk2 arms but I heard they can slip so you have to modify them somehow.
dont mean to bump but I gotta find the answer to my original question. $200 for skunk2 arms isnt the answer right now.
I forgot more about hondas then you will ever know....
