Default How to get negative Camber on RF-can't use camber kit

91 SI hatch.

I need to know how to get Negativer camber in the front Right. This is for a oval track race car only.

The rules state I CAN NOT use a camber kit and the lower control arm has been moved to the right as far as possible.

I need another couple degrees of negative camber.

My thoughts-

I cut the holes off of the upper control arm, re-drill holes in new shorter upper control arm and I have my camber.

I think this will work no problem. My only concern with this is how much camber can I put in the front tires before I run into issues of my axles binding and breaking?

I'm thinking this is probably going to give me ALOT of negative camber and I'm thinking it might be too much. Any other ways to get negative camber on these cars? I don't want to bend/heat the arm that connects knuckle to upper balljoint.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!!

Kyle

Lower it maybe? If the rules allow it just drop the front some and it should give some negative camber. I dont know exactly how much your looking for but generally lowering a car give a noticeable amount of camber.

If all else fails just cut and re-drill. good luck!! keep us posted.

Two ideas that will work:

1.) On the UCA, slot the holes where the anchor bolts go into the upper A-arm assembly. Re-attach the anchor bolts, add a tack-weld to each one.

2.) heat/bend the spindle arm... its been done before and it will work. Talk to a welding/metal guy about how to quench or cool it properly.

the most common is to slot or redrill new holes for the anchors, or cut and reweld the studs on the anchors themselves, the stud comes out of the center of the anchor, you can cut it off and weld it farther to the inside of the anchor
