turbo on 1/8 track
i have this posted in the FI forum also. my b20vtec turbo is on the way. how will a turbocharged car run on the 1/8 mile. is it enough to run low numbers or the lag of the turbo hurt me on such a short track. i will be running a precision sc63.
You probably won't need to worry about turbo lag. Your real problem with the forced induction drag car will be traction (especially in the 1/8 where your 60' and 330' mean everything).
what's your setup? are u runnin slicks. If your on slicks and have a 2step you should be able to leave the line on some boost, so your times shouldn't suffer.
The guy who does work on my car somtimes used to have a very good 1/8th street car. 7.0@102 I belive. Turbo charged. I'm not sure about his whole set up but it was a teg with about 450HP to the wheels.
my setup b20vtec ported and polished by portflow. skunk2 valvetrain and camgears. jg edelbrock intake manifold 65 mm throttle body. 85bore sleeved by GE crower rods. JE pistons 9.1 compression. precision sc63 with .63 ar. hondata s200boost two step. should i even worry about turbo lag i realy want to know before going to the track. 25x8.7x13 M&H SLICKS. thanks
