Default help me!

originally put in tech section........I took out my oem intake pipe a while ago, and the cel light happened to pop on, thinking this was the sensor that hooked onto the pipe, I didnt think much of it....I just installed a cai on my car, and when I unhooked the battery to reset the ecu, the light went off....then came back on......my friend told me about checking the code by myself...which i did....the light blinked once..... meaning...."Open or short in O2 sensor circuit, defective Primary O2 sensor" WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Do i need a new o2 sensor? Im open to all comments and suggestion...thanks guys....

I got a bosch replacement sensor with the plug for $90. What motor do you have? It sounds more like a Idle Air Control valve to me.

doing that wont fix ****. it'll jus reset the ecu and soon after the light will come back on. since you jus
resetted the ecu and didnt FIX the problem. if one blink means the o2 sensor check the connections
and the sensor then you go on from there. it'll be either connect the wires or new sensor.

I bought a bosch one and thats the one I installed. The wire seems a little short so I had to yank on it a little to connect it.

The secondary is at the rear of the cat. Did you have to splice the wires to connect the new one or did the one you bought have a plug on it? I've tried both on various Civics and the ones that I had to wire always gave me trouble.

try replacing the o2 sensor with your friend's working one. that way you know it works.
