have you driven it all since you installed the 02 sensor? I dont know if older cars have this but you may need to drive it a little bit for the readiness monitors to be reset.

Re: O2 sensor light... (EM1_00Si)
I have an em1 and when I first bought the car, I had the code P0141 which is the secondary heater circuit failure. Make sure you replaced the 02 sensor after your catalytic converter, not the one beofre it. Another thing that can cause this light to go on is bad emmisions. Is the 02 sensor grounding out?

yes i have drove it for about a week... there is only one o2 sensor and its before the cat, what do you mean by ground. its bolted into the exhaust which should be grounded. or are one of the wires ground?

Sometimes the ground wire going to the O2 sensor can fray and touch a metal part on the bottom of the chassie. Check the catalytic converter like I said. That code can be triggerd because of bad emission as well. Also, theres no way you cannot have a rear O2 sensor. You need both senors for the car to operate properly. If you are missing the rear O2 sensor, thats your problem.

Really? This is news to me. It doesnt seem possible to have only one O2 sensor, exspecially before the cat. I would figure the car would need it to regualte its air to fuel ratio, but maybe not? How would he take emissions? They would just stick the reader in his tailpipe?
