help with cel code
I took out my oem intake pipe a while ago, and the cel light happened to pop on, thinking this was the sensor that hooked onto the pipe, I didnt think much of it....I just installed a cai on my car, and when I unhooked the battery to reset the ecu, the light went off....then came back on......my friend told me about checking the code by myself...which i did....the light blinked once..... meaning...."Open or short in O2 sensor circuit, defective Primary O2 sensor" WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Do i need a new o2 sensor? Im open to all comments and suggestion...thanks guys....

That's what it means...
First, you check the circuit - look for busted wires or worn-off insulation. Use a DMM to make sure the wiring has continuity back to the ECM.
If there's nothing wrong with the circuit, then get a new sensor.

my idle is going crazy....i dont have a tach on there right now, but my car died 4 times today because it was idling too low....man....whats going on? Does anybody know how much a primary o2 sensor would cost at the dealership?
You just put a new one on there, so it shouldn't be that. Unless you managed to fry it somehow. Did you use a universal one where you had to splice wires? Check all the wiring with a DMM, don't just look at them.

A wire can have insulation worn thru when it goes thru the firewall, or it could be broken somewhere you can't see. I actually had a wire broken inside the insulation once.
You can check each circuit for continuity or shorts to ground, you can check ground wires to make sure they're grounded, tedious stuff like that. If replacing the sensor itself didn't fix the problem, then it must have been in the wiring.
