hondata......car bogs, and cel
ok i got a base map in my hondata right now for like 550's and 6psi. my car has 780's in it but it idles just fine, idle fluctuates alot, but it runs pretty smooth, however when going above 3500 the car like cuts out........it won't boost, but it drives just fine in lower rpm's.........and my cell is stuck on and i can't figure out why it won't give me a code, just stays on solid???? anyhow any help would be appreciated, i can't get it to the dyno for a few weeks, and i need to drive it and i don't want to break it, and the cell is bothering me
Look around for another base map. Anyone with the software can make you one in about 1 minute that will drive like a completely stock car OFF boost. Just don't boost till you get a wideband on there.
sounds like you fried your boost function somehow, when i first got my hondata we did the same, had to mail back the boost option part, 3500 is about where youd cross from vacuum into boost, i bet thats why you get a check engine light cuz the computer freaks out from the boost, and shuts down. open up the casing on your ecu, make sure everything is tight, and then try again, also try just changing the lil boost option part, it pulls off and pushes back on real easy, make sure the 3 pins are lines up correctly on it also, it is possible to have 2 in and 1 out on the side. also before i sent back the boost option i had a check engine light that would turn on when the car wasnt running and not go away, does the check engine light stay on even before your start your car but keep the key set to the on posistion?
yea my engine light came on before the initial start up and won't go off..........and on the basemap, it was given to me as a favor so i could take my car to get it tuned, i didn't expect it to run well knowing it was a program for 550's but i was told it would run wich it does........i'm just worried about the light........it shouldn't matter if the injectors are too big, i think it needs tuned, but the light beeing on constantly and not beeing able to pull codes is what is bothering me
the usually means there is a problem with the chipping or the ecu. even when the chipping is messed up it will most of the time do some blinking tho.
