Help!! Hondata people!!
Ok.. so my car vandalized in an attempted theft and they stole my hondata s100b setup. I just got it back from Honda with the new ignition and window, plugged in my new s200b w/basemap and started the car up. The car runs great.. I drive it around a little bit out of boost and it runs awesome. As soon as I go into boost, when I hit 5psi, the check engine light flashes on and the car loses power istantly and then starts going again... I think I can best describe it as a quick little buck and I'm back out of boost. Any suggestions would be awesome! Help!! Thanks!!
It's called Boost cut! Don't boost on the base map!.
Your boost cut was probably set to 4 psi until it was tuned. It shuts the car off so you wont blow it up. Don't boost on a basemap.

My last map was good up to 10 psi (still on stock map sensor)...
Also when I try to hook my laptop up to it, when it connects its ays 4 err/s and 1 var/s and won't stay connected at all nor will it pull the ecu information..
boost cut is boring
ah well.. just need to break down and get it tuned then..

What?
Ok, they stole your s100b which means they took your ecu also? The s100b is located inside the stock ecu. Or they just took your s100b module and your ATMEL Chip?
If you are on a basemap which you claimed you are then I wouldn't suggest boosting till you get it tuned again.
So the real question is, did they steal your ATMEL chip which is located inside your stock ecu. It should say ATMEL AT29C256. If they stole that then your old map is gone and you will need to get burned again. It should be easy because your tuner SHOULD have kept your tune on file. Therefore all you will need to do is go back and have them burn the chip with your program again.

Its the boost cut that is set at 4-5psi. Even though your other map was set at 10psi, someone had set the boost cut that low so you didnt boost on the basemap. The connection error is a common thing, I had it alot this summer when transfering my Hondata tuning set-up from one to another on the dyno. Just try to restart Hondalogger and make the connection again. If that doesnt work, you are having a communication issue at your com port, make sure that you have the com port settings in Hondalogger matched with your com port your using on your laptop.
That is your boost cut, i burned that chip for Jason and the boost cut was set low for this exact reason. You're not supposed to boost on a base map!!
