Default 440cc+FMU+Missing Link+VAFC = Too much?

I have a friend that is going to be running a boosted poor man's type R (9:1 CR). It will have a T3/T4E 61 trim turbo I believe and wants to boost 10lbs daily. I am more N/A oriented, but I will probably be doing the wiring and and setting up. I understand the concept of an FMU and know how a VAFC and the hack work.

He has RC 440cc injectors, 10:1 FMU, missing link, and a VAFC. My question is, will the car be able to idle correctly by adjusting the VAFC? I know its going to be similar to the hack (cutting fuel by 30-40% across the board), but is the FMU too much? He doesn't want to run a Hondata (no tuners around here) and wants to make close to 300hp. What do you guys suggest we do? I already did a search, but didn't come up with much of an answer. And when he is boosting, is the FMU going to be way too much fuel? Thanks in advance.

Are you talking about nacos car? I told him last night 440's + fmu = way too much fuel. If you have 100psi of fuel pressure and 440's it's like running 700cc injectors. He needs to just run the afc and 440's with no fmu.

Yeah, thats what I was figuring. The only problems that I hear with running just a VAFC is the timing advance from leaning the AFC out. Which could be bad.

I went to the dyno at full spectrum in my corolla to tune it with the s-afc. I found out my car was running extrememly rich, 10:1 a/f. So I started leaning it out. When I did this it advaced my timing but hardly leaned it out, I was still at like 11:1 this caused my car to detonate and even though he shut it down the damage was already done. My power dropped from 210 to 170 and you could see where the graph was all spiky where it detonated. Anyway it took a nice chunk out of all 4 pistons (forged). It's a pretty crude way to tune your car under boost. When I dyno'd the del sol it was 109 degrees outside with an intake temp of 140 and it never detonated once with the v-afc, but now I keep the tuning pretty conservative.

DO NOT RUN THE HACK!!!!!! It advances timing 10 degrees of the bat so you are screwed even with a BTM. run the inline pro set up. I am on the hack now and hate it. inline pro uses a 12:1 FMU, 440cc injectors, 255lph fuel pump, missing link, and afc and have gone into 11 second times with this set up easily. the car will have a "hiccup" if you mash the throttle and roll into boost, but the AFC hack makes your car buck pretty bad and as it bucks it leans out horribly. call inline pro or search posts about this set up. I made one a few days ago about the FMU set up and the proof is in the posts. lata

Tell Naco to sack up and buy a Hondata. Or just run the hack. Don't even mess with the FMU +check valve route.

Or he could buy my volks

How do you get the car to idle then? Wouldn't it be way too much fuel on the top end?

no cause the more boost you make the more it leans out. they run it and on top of that the check valve will make the map see 0vaccum so you will just be messing with stock fuel deliviery

So wait? The MSD FMU. BTM, Map Sensor Bypass. and extra two injectors FMAX supplies with its kits are shitty? Is it not advised to tune your car on this setup? I don't understand.... Would a Standalone computer bigger injectors and better fuel pump work best?
