How do i use SS braided line on my oil return without the threading thing
ok my turbo has the oil return flange with a 1/2" tube sticking out, no threads... but i heard BAD BAD things about rubber hoses so no way.. i'm going to get the high quality -10 an SS braided things...
so how can it work with my oil return tube thing, if i get the line, wont' i need to threaded in some NPT Or AN fitting'?
going to the pan is ok, just get some fittings and weld it on so i can screw it to NPT or whatever.. but how do i do it on the other end?

see the oil return.. that flange with a tube is like what i have... i'm going to do almost exactly, with the bulkhead fitting and nut... but if i get a SS braided with -AN ends, how do i fit it on the TUBE part on my turbo..

what i did was just hose clamp the braided line onto that fitting on the turbo (as long as it has someting for the clamp to grab onto) and on the oil pan just jb welded a fitting on that progressively gets smaller in steps so the line can just get hose clamped onto that, had it on for about 2500 miles and doesn't leak any oil. also i think its a -12 so its pretty big.
if you want a complete kit PM Flamenco-T a.k.a Stan....he has complete kits for your needs...whether it be a oil feed or return kit with all the fittings
what i did was get a -10 an weld on fitting to weld to the oil pan , on the turbo side i cut off the tube off the flange that came with the turbo(Greddy kit) and welded another weld on -10 an fitting to the flange
which -10an fitting did you weld.. and what material etc.. male i assume?
cuz there is just too many fittings.. i need to know the exact fitting...
you didn't use a bulkhead for the turbo side did you? show me a fitting on either

i used a 10AN line and 2 brass barbed nipples (1 on the turbo and 1 i screwed into the oil pan), and slid the hose on each end and clamped them down with hose clamps, no leaks at all....worked out great, dont use rubber, it gets mushy after a while from the heat and it will just cause problems in the long run
did u buy your stuff in toront or you had to order it... any shop in toront that sells the lines etc?
