good - you can make high gains of power
bad - you can blow your motor very easy if you do things wrong.

What are you going to be boosting, its all about tuning if you find a good shop and have a decent fuel setup you will be fine on a stock motor with 6-7 psi, and if you build your bottom end you could easily go higher, just dont do what a lot of people do and slap it on, you need to dyno tune. You'll see better power gains, better gas mileage and will be healthier for your engine, happy boosting...
