Default A Stock Tune?

I was wondering if you can have a stock motor tuned? How its done (if its possible)? And, is it beneficial, what kinds of gains are likely (like a jdm swap, is there hidden power in these motors or are you stuck with a low hp motor if it comes up short on the dyno)?

So sometimes i see ppl with low mileage GSR's putting out low dyno numbers, just breaking 100hp; is this to say that having the motor tuned wont boost it to its original specs?

You could achieve better gas mileage. Maybe a few horse power, but I'm thinking 10whp at the max.
