Default dual 2 ohm voice coil 12" woofer and 500s fosgate amp... heLLP!

okay any how...

i got a dual 2ohm voice coil woofer... and im running it with a fosgate 500s amp...
right now i have it hooked up in a series... (4ohms)... and i kno the 500s amp can make more power at 2ohms... but how could i wire both coils to get 2 ohms?
or if possible... can the 500s amp handle 1ohm? (parallel setup...)

how would i get the max power out of my amp using just one woofer... with dual 2 ohm coils...

The only way you can wire that sub is either a 4 ohm or 1 ohm load. I would not recommend connecting a 1 ohm load to that amplifier.

Yes you could do that but will end up with the same amount of power. Read the specs for the amp to decide what it would be. They usually always give a 2 ohm rating.

you won't always get the same amount of power, and you may run into cancellation between frequencies...

Why did you raise you false floor so high? Is you spare still available? You used up the whole trunk with MDF with only 1 sub. With all that weight you can redue you whole setup and stilll have room. Take a look at my systems it can give you a idea.
What kind of car do you have?

So you didn't use mdf for your setup. Whatcha use plywood or particle board?

All I'm saying is that you can still have room with only 1 sub and amp. But it's your car you laosfu .

You care to explain how your going to get cancelations. Left channel is the same as the right. both are in phase.
