How-to..multiple amp setup
i have 2 audiobahn d 4ohm vc. flame-q subs..1100w rms a piece..which is huge lol and i was wanting 2 see how i can use 2 amps to power them. i was wanting 2 use 2 infinity 611a's and i want 2 know how to wire them 2 the subs together (obviously not one amp to one sub and one amp to the other) is it as easy as just running + on both amps to + on the subs and - to -?? do i hafta wire them down to a certain ohm load?? any help would be great
is that the only way it can be done??... for some reason i was thinking in the past that in magazines i've seen multiple amps powering one sub just to get enough power?? lol idk
If it is a Dual Voice Coil sub then one amp for each voice coil is common. For example I had a customer with a JL W7 and 2-JL 1000/1 amps. The W7 is a DVC sub so I wired each amp to each voice coil on the sub. 2 amps for 1 sub.
in order to run it like ur talking about ur amps need to be able to be "strapped" which is basically connecting them both together and running ur subs therefore doubling the power output of the amps. but those amps ur talking about are not able to be strapped so ur best bet is to run an amp to each sub or just buy one big amp to power both

Ditto that. I was going to say the same thing. Your going to need a custom enclosure for this. Or make sure both subs do not share the air space. A divided enclosure Is a must for this setup. Also make sure your charging system Is going to be able to power this. Your trying to put a 2k rms sound system in a car. What is the whole set up and what kind of car
