Amp
I saw sub and amp packages showing class D sub woofers amps that are 1 channel and come with 2 subs. If the amp only has connections for 1 speaker how do you hook it up. Just take both positives and both negatives together. I was looking at this amp for my 2 12" dual voice coil subs.

Here are the power specs for the amp in question.
* 400 Watts x 1 Channel @ 4 Ohms
* 800 Watts x 1 Channel @ 2 Ohms
* 1200 Watts x 1 Channel @ 1 Ohm
How you wire your speakers will determine what the resistance (ohms) your amp will see. With 2 DVC speakers you should be able to wire them up for 16-8-4-2 or 1 ohm. What kind of speakers do you have?

There 12" Infinity Reference 1200 watt peak, 300 watt rms each dual voice coil. I used to have them hooked up to a 1200 watt amp that was bridgeable 500 to 1 at 4 ohms in a sealed box. I dont think it was powerfull enough for my speakers. I wanted to use those speakers over and then use this amp at no more then 2 ohms. Because this amp is actually 800 x1 at 2 ohms that means each speakers will acutally get about 400 watts each peak right?
Or would a speaker set at 2 ohms be better.
