Default Integra LS with Skunk 2 intake manifold

I was wondering if it was worth replacing the intake manifold on an LS? Will you get anymore power or torque out of it? I haven't heard too much about people using them on an LS.

Most LS owners do not build up enough NA to warrent a new IM / TB.

depends what you do with it. just throwing a a skunk manifold probably wont give you much more horsepower, however, the more you have done to the engine, the better the intake manifold will work. of course, having throttle body and intake manifold bored(polished) will help you considerably, but just throwing one on wont give you much. a buddy of mine did that, and it hurt his bottom end power, and gave him more top end power, you should think about it.

The IM, TB, and Intake pipe should directly relate to the powerband and how much HP you plan on making.

You can't just slap on an IM and expect power gains if you don't know what it does. The runner length, plenium size, etc are all designed for a specific HP and powerband.

With that you also need a TB also designed bore wise, to work properly with the intake manifold, and an intake piping correctly sized for all three.

its deffinatly worth it if you plan to upgrade the cams later on in the future.

on a stock LS probably not worth the effort.

I would save it for compression and "big" cams.

So how would it work for my setup, I have a ls with crower 403's and new valve retainer springs, and everything else like CAI,WS Ex, straight pipe, dc header 4-1.

I agree 100%. It gave me decent topend pull (pulls to redline like a champ) after I had my head ported.

not worth it unless you are boosted with a build and ported head.
