Intake Manifold for Ls
Im trying to get this hatch with a Ls motor. I was searching for a intake manifold and couldnt decide which was the better buy for the hp/$.
Oh, and does BBK make a intake manifold for the Ls? I know it makes it for the Gsr, but will that fit the Ls? thanks
so far -
Skunk2
Victor x
BBk (maybe)
Blox
on these applications it says the RPM range can go from 7,000-10,000 will the rest of the motor with hold that high of range? The motor is stock besides minor things.

yes and no. it does depend on your mods and goals, but the ls has a shitbox for an intake manifold, which combined with cam profile causes the torque to drop rather hard after about 5500 rpms. go look in the sponsor classifieds right now, prostreetonline has a sale on blox intake manifolds for 150 shipped right now, but im sure it wont last long at all.

is it because your "homie" told you that a b16 manifold wont fit on an LS "because y0 they have different bolt patterns"? try it sometime stupid and you'll see it fits easily with very little modification. did i say it bolts right on? no, because that really would be misinformation. AND YES I HAVE ACTUALLY DONE IT.
hey theres no point in getting upgrades for little to no money when you can save up and buy something thats just a little bit better for 10 times the cost huh? let me guess, if its not JDM then its not "tyte dawg".
thats what i call misinformation, stupid.
you sound like the type of person who refuses to do a motor swap yourself becuase if you pay a shop $2000 in labor, they will do a better job. you get what you pay for, right? wrong. you get what you get and if you're smart, you can save a little money along the way.

First of all, doy you know me or what I do for a living or my previous knowledge? Obviously not. I am an Acura technician and I have been doing automotive performance modifications before you were even driving. Yes, if you distort the shape of the bolt pattern you can get it to fit....BUT IT WILL NOT FLOW BETTER!! The only way to make that intake flow better than the LS is WITH EXTENSIVE PORT MATCHING. The port shapes are drastically different and unless you take this into consideration you are actually hurting performance.
I am VERY familiar with saving money for myself by improvising.......but when improvising you have to take into account EVERY variable to get the job done correctly. I make my living upon that very principal. By finding the fastest and most effective (and most reliable) way possible to make a living.
Please take your ill informed opinion elsewhere

modification for a PR3 intake man. to fit a p75 head is simple; whats not simple is the runner and intake port size difference between the 2.
you have to port the intake port a lot in order to make it work

so then why even do it, and i like how the manifold in the pic is just laying there, and i like the epoxy at the dizzy side of the manifold, where the water outlet is!!

i dont think its just laying there...i think hes just not using all the nuts.
epoxy? yeah i see to make it nice you can weld. guess for him JB worked.
there is really no pros of doing this unless you have lots of time and a built motor.
the intake and ex. ports on vtec heads are noticeable bigger. so you have to match the port to the pr3 intake man..
since you ported the intake so much you have to port the exhaust also to keep kinda the same ratio. you get the point.
