Default this is a dumb question-oil leak opinion swap?

my 91 si burns about a quart of oil a month...there are no leaks that you can see or anything but i do constantly redline it...i'd say i hit the redline everyday at least 5 times....its so damn fun but anyways you guys think thats why its burning oil? it only has 90k on the engine and it doesnt smoke.....i have some exhaust leaks but thats it....??? would it be worth it to put a 95 dx block with an lx head swap into the car-even though iam gonna put a b16 in in about a year or 2? the block only has 80k on it and the lx head gives a little higher compression...would it be worth it? i need some opinions thanks

yeah your redlining could be a reason why your burning so much oil, but your probably burning alot too because of the wearing down done to the motor. if hte block and head are free than do it, if its really cheap than do it

I don't understand why so many people in life can't make their own decisions...

To answer your question, I was in the same boat 18months ago with my D15. I decided to hold off and save some cash before dropping in the B16. Three months ago I dropped in my B16 and love it. Too bad it has a blown head gasket or I'd be driving it right now... If I hadn't saved money the last year and a half then I would never have been able to afford the cost of replacing the head gasket/timing belt/water pump...

Good luck with whatever your decide.
