high hp at low boost? setups?
whats a good way to achieve high hp with low boost, i know the turbo your choose has somthing to do with it, friend also said not to go to low with compression and recommended sticking with the stock compression on my 00 Si(b16) , just get forged rods n pistons instead. in some peoples signatures i see they are making close to 300 hp and only boosting like 8lbs, question is how did you do it, i am currently interested in a 57trim turbo, from lil research seems like there wont be as much turbo lag while still making good power, power shouldn't die off at the higher rpm with a t3/t4 57 trim or SC34 correct?
high compression engine, 10:1 or higher. Im a little over 11:1, and will be running 15 psi or so. Should be some good results

You don't plan to do this on pump gas, right?

and in order to run high boost with a high compression motor im guessing u need some good azz tuning? people usually dont recommend ova 12 i think with honda stock internals , im guessing if using forged setup but still high compression you can still push it up a lil higher? high redline, shouldn't the b16s 8k redline be sufficient enough, also does a higher compression motor help spool the turbo a lil earlier?

I think its mostly compression and the right turbo for your setup on this one. You'll see that most of the guys making close to 300 on 7-8 lbs are the type R guys. If youve kept up lately the sc61 has been producing some real good #'s on 12-13 psi on gsr motors.
.57 trim should be fine on your setup. What a/r do u plan on going with? There have been a couple good topics on comparison in the last few days, might want to check those threads out. I think is was silver2000ls that posted it. It shows a dyno of .48 and .63 a/r

I'am building my 98 integra GSR and I'm going with 10.1 I figure that should be high enough compression for a somewhat streetable car, anything higher then 10.1 is really not needed.

if you are gonna do it, why not do it right?

Just think of this! You are driving down the road and you decide to race some guy and you go to hit 3rd gear and your car makes a really bad noise, your engine stops running and you pull over pop the hood and look at your motor and you notice the soda can size HOLE through you BLOCK cuase you saved 350 dollars by not buying rods. Now do you think it's worth the 350 dollars that you saved!!!!!!!!!!!
