i finally decided that i have the money and time to do some mods to my engine.....i have a 99 acura integra GSR. Im thinking for my first mod to spend like 200-350 dollars, thinking like intake or headers or somehting......any suggestions on what should be my first mod?

I wouldnt do anything with power yet because you wana think and plan a bit before spending on parts...If you dont get the right ones ull be kicking urself in the ***

I would do the suspension first too. I spent money on a header/intake and now I'm having it turbo'd, so those things were a waste of money.

IMHO, I would get new brakes, the factory ones are pretty weak. You can get rotors + pads for ~$200 - $250 shipped. If your rotors are fine, just get Axxis Ultimate pads.
You may even have money left over for an intake, in which case I would look for a new AEM short ram intake off of ebay. I think I paid $85 for mine including shipping. You can get the cheap knock off version, but everyone says that the filter is really cheap. By the time you buy the cheap intake, and replace the filter for a good one... you might as well have bought the AEM one in the first place.

I would go for a CAI first, cheap, reliable power. Then start workin on your suspension, get it to where you want it. Chances are good your car can exceed your handling expectations, but achieving your ambitions for speed will be much more difficult, expensive, and time consuming.

Suspension. Some new tires will make a world of difference. If you don't plan on getting rims(stock rims are pretty light) then get some 205/55/15 tires like some potenza s03's or if you don't drive in the wet some falken azenis. Also the yokohama avs 100's are just about the best all around tire you can buy. Some springs and shocks would also greatly improve the ride quality. And if that seems to much for a first mod get the ITR rear sway. This is the best bang for the buck.
go suspension first. . .I got my suspension done first and i LOVE it.. .world of difference. . .u'll feel more of a difference with a good suspension setup then you would with a CAI anyday. . .
always do brakes/suspension/tires before you even touch power...chances are being a 99 youre still under factory warranty, dont void it by modding your engine
thanx guys that a great help...i think im gonna go with the CAI and then come eibach springs

If you wanna use that reasoning, changing your brakes/suspension will void your warranty as well
