Master Cylinder Problem...
well.. my master cylinder went bad soo i bought a use one which looks pretty clean.... I got it replace by a mechanic and my brakes are good again.. only problem now is that there is this hissing noise that is coming from that area(on the back right hand side)... I had the mechanic take a look at it and he said it isn't anything around it.. can't be any vaccum hose leak or anything like that.. soo the question we have in mind... Is there a gasket in between the M.C and the brake booster>?? I am pretty sure its something with M.C. because i've been checking up on my brake fuild and its slowly losing... and i see some trace of brake fuild paths traveling out in between the M.C and the Booster...
i dont know if this applies to you. but you have abs brakes. could the abs unit and the master cylinder be joined somewhere and the mechanic installed it incorrectly?
check to see if your abs works, like on sand or something

man..when you replace a brake master cylinder you always replace it with a NEW one....I can't believe that your "mechanic" agreed to install a "used" master cylinder into your car. If you get into an accident, you can easily sue your mechanic because he installed a "used" brake master cylinder which easily failed.
Buying used crap is ok if you're rebuilding the parts yourself and KNOW what you're doing, but you can't buy a used part like a brake master cylinder and expect to run as perfect as when you were driving it before the old part began to fail. ALL Mechanical parts WEAR OUT.
They only reason I'm even responding to this is because I don't want this idiot running into ME when I'M driving on the freeway! It's crap like this is why people complain about the high cost of car insurance.

I would first say check for any leaking around where you suspect the leak, second call up an acura delership and ask them for the part. If it exist, they've got it and your right if not, no biggie.
