Default help! tachy no worky

Hi guys. I just bought a 95 lx 4dr, and the tach doesn't work. I doubt I need a new cluster because all the other meters and indicators work. I'm thinking it's a loose wire somewhere.

Any suggestions on where to look for this mysterious loose wire? It worked when I checked it out at the used car dealer's lot... but he replaced the alternator before I took delivery. After that, the tach stopped working. I'm a civic n00b, and would really like to get this fixed soon. If you could post pics too, that would be great.
