So I pulled my motor apart....again
Found some amazing stuff!! I wish I could host some pics.
Turns out I detonated and it melted through the headgasket and the head itself! So that head is trash.
Also there is a chip missing from the OUTER sleeve on number 2. OUTER meaning the water jacket side. It lloks like someone took a small ice pick to the top of my sleeve. Does anyone think this will be a problem concerning future headgaskets?
Also how many times can you re-use ARP head-studs? When I removed my head they were all loose after 500 miles. I torqued them to 70 ft-lbs.
Thanks

damn< i would like to see some pics> you can"t use that bottom end either with a crack in the waterjacket> it"s just gonna stress and crack more severly later on>what kind of psi where you running when everything went wrong?
ohh and did you ever re_tourque your head studs> the ARP studs need to be re_tourqued fter heat cycling>

I've taken my motor apart several times, as many of you know, and I have never had to re-tourque my head studs. I always do a 3 step torque, starting with like 25lbs, 55lbs, then finish it off with 75lbs or what ever it was.
Anyway's I thought you had everything down, what the hell happened?
