Default What PSI can I run with a 10.6 compression?

Yes, I did search. I am going to buy the f-max turbo kit for my JDM H22A. I don't want the car to be a psycho street killer, I just want some added power with a stock feeling. (Like my Eclipse GS-T) I would be happy with 8PSI. With all the things that come with the kit, what PSI can I be safe at, and what power increases am I looking at? '93 Vtec, dyno'd 184 with I/E and VAFC (dyno tuned) on 18's.

yikes..... high compression eh?? anyway, with the right timing and richening up of the motor you should be able to hit 8psi, but watch out past that.... as for powergains, i'd say with the right setup of fuel, timing, decent w/g, etc.... you should be getting about 60-75 hp... just a guess thou.... not sure about what the high compression would help/take away

I'm looking into getting the maxrev kit with the upgraded t3/60-1. I have basically the same question as 93LudeVtec. I have a JDM h22a (10:6:1 compression) and wondering what boost I should run. Should I try to stay under 8psi?

OEM Honda pistons? like, um, 4psi

if it was forged, i would say any psi is available with proper tuning, but damn, stock cast pistons... don't boost it

could grab a lower compression head gasket, though that would sorta ruin the point. But with it you could fine tune the boost easier
